Italian black slate with a honed finish for fireplace hearths

 Italian Black Slate (Honed Finish)

The Traditional Choice, A soft dark grey/black stone. Has excellent heat tolerance. Marks easily and wears under general use, however slate can be revived and restored with no expert help, just a little wire wool and slate oil.

Black Zimbabwe Granite - (Antiqued Finish) 

A textured finish for a more rustic look. With all the benefits of hardwearing Granite. Because it is from a denser, igneous rock, it is capable of sustaining a high polish that is resistant to scratching.
